This Cookie Policy explains browser storage and similar technologies used on Karemelo's website and application.
1. Essential cookies and storage
Karemelo may use cookies or equivalent browser storage necessary to:
- keep users signed in;
- maintain secure sessions;
- remember essential authentication state;
- support multifactor-authentication flows;
- protect against security attacks; and
- maintain essential workspace/application functionality.
These technologies are used because the requested Service cannot operate securely or correctly without them.
Exact cookie names and durations depend on the live authentication implementation and should be documented from production before publication.
2. Umami analytics
Karemelo uses Umami to understand aggregate website usage and improve website performance.
Karemelo's intended configuration is cookieless and does not use advertising or cross-site behavioural tracking.
Publication condition: before this statement is published, Karemelo must verify that the deployed Umami configuration does not set or read non-essential cookies or comparable device identifiers and determine whether Umami is self-hosted or uses Umami Cloud.
Even where analytics does not use cookies, associated server/request data may still constitute personal information and is addressed in the Privacy Policy.
3. No advertising cookies
Karemelo does not currently intend to use third-party advertising or behavioural-targeting cookies.
If that changes, this Cookie Policy will be updated and consent controls will be introduced where legally required before non-essential technologies are activated.
4. Managing cookies
Essential cookies cannot necessarily be disabled through Karemelo without affecting authentication or Service functionality.
Users may also control browser storage through browser settings, although blocking necessary technologies may prevent parts of the Service from working.
